The Burnie Waste Management Centre involved the development of the new waste transfer station located at the Mooreville Road Landfill site for Transpacific Industries Group for Burnie City Council, located at Burnie on Tasmania's North Coast.
IPD Consulting undertook the landfill closure and rehabilitation planning, including the preliminary design, D&C contract documentation, regulatory approvals, project tender and tender assessment. Planning included consideration for a number of significant factors; surface and ground water, leachate management, waterway restoration and landfill gas management.
